Product Manager – Payments & Billing (m/f/d)

  • Hybrid
    • Milan, Italy
  • Digital Product

Job description

Let’s shoot for the stars:

Billing and payments sit at the center of Limehome's revenue — and we're looking for someone to take full ownership of this function from day one. This isn't a UX-focused product role; it's an operational, cross-functional one where you'll work directly with a small engineering team, Accounting, and Customer Service to make sure every payment and invoice flows correctly across our European markets.

How you’ll be hosting with heart:

  • Own the payment experience end-to-end — from guest checkout through post-stay charges — monitoring success/failure rates across methods and countries, and driving down failures (declines, gateway timeouts, 3DS/SCA issues) through product and process fixes.

  • Manage the full billing cycle for room revenue recognition across multiple countries, and act as the internal expert on how payments and billing flow through Adyen and Apaleo — spotting and closing integration gaps.

  • Partner with Accounting to resolve billing discrepancies, support reconciliation, and investigate OTA payment/payout mismatches — building durable fixes rather than one-off patches.

  • Run daily triage with the Customer Service back office, prioritizing payment-related tickets by impact and unblocking the team on edge cases.

  • Ensure invoicing compliance with VAT, city tax, and other local regulations, working closely with Accounting to flag risks early.

  • Turn recurring fixes into scalable processes and a data-driven roadmap — using SQL and product analytics to spot patterns and translate them into clear priorities for non-technical stakeholders.

Job requirements

What you need to shoot for the stars:

  • Solid knowledge of EU billing and payments in hospitality, plus accounting literacy — comfortable with reconciliation, invoicing logic, and financial detail without needing to be an accountant

  • Experience with agile project management and impact-based prioritization, even when everything competes for attention

  • A proven track record managing stakeholder relationships across diverse departments (Accounting, Customer Service, Engineering)

  • Working knowledge of SQL, scripting, and basic statistical analysis, plus familiarity with product analytics tools

  • A proactive, curious mindset with high ownership and autonomy in a flat structure — you ask the right questions before being asked

  • Strong, structured problem-solving under ambiguity, and the ability to explain data insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders

We're designed to stay because:

  • Hybrid Office Model: Enjoy some days in our beautiful offices or from home.

  • Competitive Salary: Live comfortably in Milan with a competitive salary.

  • Feedback: Develop yourself through constant feedback and peer reviews.

  • Oneteam: Great team spirit with regular team lunches and events.

  • Everything for our limehomies: Up to 26 paid vacation days in a year, support with mental health (Nilo.health), staycations in one of our suite Limehomes, and many more benefits.

  • Free Drinks and Snacks: We always provide fresh fruits, healthy snacks and chocolate, as well as juices and coffee.
