Are you a seasoned expert in architecture, capable of developing and boosting our current team of planners and interior designers’ performance? Can you bring in your skills and knowledge to develop our product in a groundbreaking Real Estate sector to reach new levels of quality and efficiency? As Head of Planning & Design at limehome you work with a diverse team of architectural planners on the integration of designs and plans that lead to successful building projects, taking into account space efficiency, environmental effects, community requirements, public policies as well as commercial success. You will define and drive the strategic direction within Planning & Design in line with company objectives, including the development of key initiatives to enhance efficiency, scalability and overall performance. You will be guiding and overseeing the development and maintenance of design standards and procedures for the development of new apartment and digital hotel buildings including extensions, renovations, and restorations, ensuring they meet limehome quality requirements and align with sustainability principles.

How you’ll be hosting with heart:

  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and meet the highest quality standards by effectively managing team resources and priorities.

  • Shape processes, tools, and workflows for maximum efficiency, ensuring full alignment aligning with Expansion, Project Management, and operational requirements.

  • Establish and maintain a streamlined project progress tracking and reporting structure.

  • Mentor and develop team members, driving superior output quality through deep expertise.

  • Oversee team structure development, performance management, and future growth planning.

  • Lead the creation and implementation of new design standards and guidelines, including furniture, art, and graphics packs.

  • Contribute to the definition and development of new product types.

  • Analyze and optimize the entire property portfolio’s performance to maximize efficiency and profitability.

  • Collaborate with the Expansion and BI teams to understand key product performance metrics at the market level and optimize attributes accordingly.

  • Foster strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment across teams.

  • Ensure that the team applies all compliance requirements, local norms and regulations in both, national and international markets.

  • Drive initiatives to enhance space efficiency and overall product innovation.

What you need to shoot for the stars:

  • A university degree in Architecture or Architectural Design has been successfully completed.

  • A minimum of 8–10 years of professional experience, with at least two years of disciplinary leadership, ideally in Hospitality or related fields.

  • A solution-oriented mindset with the ability to make independent, well-informed decisions on complex tasks based on expertise, judgment, and experience.

  • Strong capability in assigning team resources and action items following decision-making processes.

  • An ownership mentality with a proactive, goal-focused approach to work.

  • Full control over personal and team performance, with the ability to track goal achievements and recalibrate strategies as needed.

  • Strong bilingual communication skills in German and English, with the ability to articulate team goals and processes effectively.

  • Extensive experience in fostering efficient cross-departmental collaboration and professionally managing complex alignment processes and escalations.

  • A coaching mindset that supports the team in prioritizing tasks and maintaining a strong project goal focus.

  • A commitment to embodying and promoting company culture by leading by example, supporting and motivating team members with clarity, fairness, and empathy.

  • Proven experience in building scalable teams and developing people.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD LT.
