Job description
We are seeking an experienced and motivated professional to join our Supply Chain Management team as a Category Manager!
This role focuses on managing specific product groups, particularly furniture procurement for our serviced apartments, with the potential to expand into other categories. The ideal candidate will bring valuable contacts within the furniture industry and demonstrate expertise in supplier relationship management, contract negotiations, and ensuring cost-effective, timely procurement.
How you'll be hosting with heart:
Assist in developing and implementing procurement strategies for assigned categories in line with company objectives
Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality products and competitive terms
Conduct yearly negotiations to secure favorable pricing, maintain quality standards, and ensure reliable delivery timelines
Identify and evaluate new suppliers, conducting regular market research to stay informed on industry trends
Monitor supplier performance, address challenges, and mitigate risks to ensure a consistent supply chain
Collaborate with internal teams such as design and operations to align procurement activities with project needs
Support order management and forecasting processes to meet operational requirements
Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual terms, and industry regulations
What you'll need to shoot for the stars with us:
Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
Experience in procurement or category management, ideally within the furniture or hospitality sectors
Familiarity with supplier networks, particularly in the furniture industry, is a plus
Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills, focusing on cost-efficiency and quality
Effective cross-functional communication and collaboration skills
Analytical and problem-solving abilities with a detail-oriented mindset
Capability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment
