Let’s shoot for the stars:

In this role, you will be a key player in managing accounting in our Spanish subsidiary, acting as the interface to our limehome HQ Finance team in Germany. With your expertise in financial reporting and tax matters, you will ensure accurate reconciliations, timely financial reporting, and smooth communication with external stakeholders. You will also oversee monthly and annual closings, contributing to the continuous development of your team of currently two accounting managers.


How you’ll be hosting with heart:

  • You are responsible for monthly and yearly closing activities for the Spanish subsidiary incl. filing of tax declarations in close collaboration with our tax advisor and your local colleagues.

  • With your solid expertise in accounting and financial reporting, you confidently support and train your accounting team on technical matters.

  • You serve as the point of contact for external stakeholders (tax authorities, government agencies, etc.).

  • You are the main contact person for our limehome HQ Finance team, local tax advisors and auditors and will occasionally support in special project initiatives in Spain (e.g., set-up of permanent tax establishments, M&A integration, banking relationships).

  • You provide financial controlling and budgeting support for our Spanish General Manager by offering ad-hoc insight into the subsidiary financials and manage the local cash holdings of the entity.

  • You support on managing accounting activities and setups for smaller subsidiaries of the limehome group together with local lawyers and tax advisors

  • You develop fast and efficient processes for the accounting department together with the team, acting as the interface between the accounting team and the global accounting lead

Job requirements

What you need to shoot for the stars:

  • You have a business or accounting & finance-related university degree or similar qualification from vocational training.

  • You have knowledge and experience in dealing with Spanish GAAP and Spanish tax legislation (especially VAT). Knowledge in Portuguese GAAP and accounting standards from other markets Limehome is operating in is beneficial.

  • You have proficient command of Spanish and English both verbally and written and feel comfortable communicating with internal as well as external stakeholders. Portuguese is be a plus, as well as other European languages fluently spoken.

  • You have intense work experience of around six to ten years in a similar role in a start-up company, a growth environment, or in a tax advisory or audit company.

  • You have good command of Microsoft Office and Accounting Systems (e.g. Ubiquo, Sage or other ERP-systems).
